Control Design and Manufacturing No stranger to control, telemetry, and SCADA systems, The C.I. Thornburg Co., Inc. recently opened a full-service panel shop to serve the water and wastewater industry in the region. After several additions to our Engineered Products Division increased our capabilities for in-house control systems design and construction, The C.I. Thornburg Co., Inc. decided to open our own control panel shop in April 2006. Overseen by Joe Greene, we are now proud to offer local design, control panel fabrication and integration of control systems covering the entire spectrum of water and wastewater technology. This allows us to provide our customers with a larger spectrum of offerings, covering more technologies and equipment brands than ever before.
As part of our initiative to operate the best control panel shop in the region, The C.I. Thornburg Co., Inc. has partnered with State Electric Supply Company to provide us with products from the biggest names in the business, including Allen-Bradley, Hoffman, and Brady. This allows us to present the highest quality control panels available, at very competitive pricing. Our technicians are also involved in training programs from our vendors to ensure that we are able to provide the best support for all the products we offer.

Our panel shop is located in a 5000 square foot facility near our corporate offices in Huntington, WV. We have offices for our panel shop staff and electrical service technicians, as well as dedicated warehousing and manufacturing space for control panel production. We have the capability to build custom panels to engineering specifications, as well as standard simplex and duplex lift station control panels. All panels are fully tested before shipment to ensure your system will operate correctly the first time.
The C.I. Thornburg Co., Inc. has the capability to design and manufacture control panels with basic relay control operation, variable-speed pump control, operation of any number of pumps, advanced Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based operation using any manufacturer required, as well as integration with existing or new telemetry or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
The C.I. Thornburg Co., Inc. Panel Shop offers industrial engraving services for nameplates, legend plates, and instrument tags. We have in-house metal fabrication capability for mounting brackets, inner doors, and any other custom pieces required for a panel. We utilize the latest AutoCAD Electrical design package for schematic drawings, PLC programming software for a variety of manufacturers, and HMI software to support all your needs.
